70% of Savoy wine production may be focused on white wine, but that doesn?t deny red wines their importance. To think otherwise would be to overlook the magnificent quality of these red wines and their grapes, such as Gamay and Mondeuse which, when combined with the dedicated work of winemakers, manage to showcase the strength of this terroir. These wines make excellent aperitifs alongside Savoy hams and saucissons, as well as grilled or pan-fried red meat.
