Appellation PDO Roussette de Savoie

Photo démo

CHARACTER : Crisp* and fruity

VARIETY : Altesse

DESCRIPTION :
This particular appellation, which encompasses around 50 hectares, owes its qualities to Altesse grapes. It is one of Savoy?s leading wines in terms of maturing ability. It can be enjoyed 2 years after the harvest, and can be kept for around 10 years. Four French communes are authorised to use the PDO label. These are Frangy with its dry, apricot-scented wines, Marestel with its full-bodied*, passion fruit-scented wines, Monterminod with its grapefruit aromas and fruity character, and Monthoux, whose full-bodied wines seem infused with guava. These exceptionally delicate white wines are delicious with strong lake or seawater fish.

*Crisp: light and fresh.
*Full-bodied: pleasantly sweet, smooth and ample.
