Appellation PDO Crémant du Jura White

Photo démo

CHARACTER : floral

VARIETY : Chardonnay / Savagnin

DESCRIPTION :
The Jura region has a long tradition of producing excellent sparkling wines (known as crémants) stretching back to the 18th century. Made following the traditional Champagne method, Crémant du Jura comes in both white and "rosé" versions, from all over the area. Whites nevertheless account for 90% of the wines produced. All five Jura grape varieties may go into the mix, but at least 50% must be Chardonnay. Appreciated for its delicate bubbles and floral hawthorn notes, it is ideal as an aperitif, with petits fours or to accompany a dessert.
